I am very proud to be the Executive Director of the UpTown Waterloo Business Improvement Area. The UpTown Waterloo Community is a unique area that is full of pride and passion about the way we do business and mangage a safe and healthy lifestyle for people to live, work and play.

The mandate of the UpTown Waterloo Business Improvement Area (BIA) is to “promote and beautify UpTown Waterloo”. We are committed to representing our membership by providing support through marketing and media, updating everyone on recent and ongoing projects and working with our Municipality to keep our core healthy and vibrant.

UpTown Waterloo BIA has a volunteer Board of Directors, representing our membership. They are elected every 4 years in conjunction with the Municipal Election, by our membership and approved by City of Waterloo Council. This Board oversees the administration of the BIA office and it’s staff.

We are members of the Ontario Business Improvement Area Association and as such share many issues, challenges and successes with other BIA’s across the Province. We all strive to make the core or heart of our cities the very best they can be.
